Huawei P Smart 2019 quietly slipped into our lives in the midst of a market dominated by flagship phones that command high prices but offer a decent smartphone experience without overcharging us. Featuring a notch similar to a dewdrop and a gradient finish, this sleek smartphone is one of the most eye-catching on the market. With its Kirin 710 chipset, this phone is capable of handling daily tasks with ease, which is a real surprise for a phone of this type. I found it to be a smooth experience scrolling through social media, playing casual games, and multitasking while doing all these things. If we talk about the software updates Huawei has recently released EMUI 12 update for this old smart phone. This update provides improved user experience and newer security patches. In this post we will share EMUI 12 update guide for POT-LX1 Latin American variant with C605 CUST version only. Please don’t try it on other versions.

Huawei P Smart 2019 EMUI 12 C605 Requirements:

• Disable antivirus/Windows Defender (Very Important)
• The phone must be running the latest EMUI 10
• Make sure the phone is dual sim
• Your model variant must be POT-L21 (you can check under the project menu by dialing *#*#2846579#*#*, and software version)
• Your phone must have cust version C605 (check build number)
• The battery must be charged up to 60%
• Good quality USB cable
• Windows 10 / 11 computer
• Hisuite 11.0.0.610 OVE must be installed Download From This LINK
• Download Hisuite Proxy V3.3.X from THIS LINK
• Connect phone in Hisuite

Installation Process:

• Extract the Hisuite Proxy V3.X.X
• Run Hisuite proxy, and make sure you allow firewall access when it asks
• Tap on the ” Setup “ button in the Hsiuite proxy.
• Tick “Override IMEI”
• Make sure you tick in “Target build number”
• Then copy POT-L21-LGRP2-OVS 102.0.0.225(C605E2R1P1) and paste it into the “Target Package Build Number” section
• Open Hisuite again and connect your phone, check for updates in Hisuite 
• Start installation

Important: If installation fails at 99%, set the date of your computer to 01-September-2023, and run the update again, it will succeed.
