Huawei Y9s STK-L21 EMUI 12 Installation Guide Middle East- Africa C185 Only
Flagship killer Huawei Y9s STK-L21 is getting EMUI 12 update for the middle eastern and African regions. Only open market devices with the C185 CUST version are eligible to install this update. This update does not bring the new android version because now security patches are released by Huawei. So EMUI 12 contains all new security patches by Huawei. This update does not wipe data on your phone if your phone is compatible. In the project menu, you can check the version information, if it says STK-L21MDV only then your device is eligible.
Warning: Don’t install on Y9 Prime or phone from any other region
Huawei Y9s update Requirements:
- Disable antivirus/Windows Defender (Very Important)
- The phone must be running the latest EMUI 10
- Your phone must have cust version C185 (check build number)
- The battery must be charged up to 60%
- Good quality USB cable
- Windows 10 / 11 computer
- Hisuite 11.0.0.610 OVE must be installed Download From This LINK
- Download Hisuite Proxy V3.3.X from THIS LINK
- Connect phone in Hisuite
Installation Process:
- Extract the Hisuite Proxy V3.X.X
- Run Hisuite proxy, and make sure you allow firewall access when it asks
- Tap on the ” Setup “ button in the Hsiuite proxy.
- Tick “Override IMEI”
- Make sure you tick in “Target build number”
- if your phone is a dual sim copy STK-L21MDV-LGRP10 102.0.0.225(C185E3R3P2) and paste it into the “Target Package Build Number” section
- Must tick ” Force Auth Bridge “
- Open Hisuite again and connect your phone, check for updates in Hisuite
- Start installation
- For your ease, please see the screenshots below
Important: If installation fails at 99%, set the date of your computer to 01-September-2023, and run the update again, it will succeed.

I saw somewhere that your update is for the STK-L22 model, not the L21. I think I have to wait.
