Huawei Y9s is mid-range smartphone. It was a very successful model in countries with low buying power. The phone has a bigger screen and a bigger battery with a pop-up selfie camera. The phone was released with EMUI 9.1 and later it was updated to EMUI 10 based on Android 10. Now Huawei has surprised users with EMUI 12 update for this mid-range device. Even though this update is based on Android 10 but still users’ experience has been greatly improved in EMUI 12. We are sharing a tutorial to install EMUI 12 on STK-L22 devices with cust C636 only. This update does not wipe data on your phone if your phone is compatible. In the project menu, you can check the version information, if it says STK-L22DV only then your device is eligible.

Warning: Don’t install on Y9 Prime or phone from any other region

Requirements:

• Disable antivirus/Windows Defender (Very Important)
• The phone must be running the latest EMUI 10
• Your phone must have cust version C636 (check build number)
• The battery must be charged up to 60%
• Good quality USB cable
• Windows 10 / 11 computer
• Hisuite 11.0.0.610 OVE must be installed Download From This LINK
• Download Hisuite Proxy V3.3.X from THIS LINK
• Connect phone in Hisuite

Installation Process:

• Extract the Hisuite Proxy V3.X.X
• Run Hisuite proxy, and make sure you allow firewall access when it asks
• Tap on the ” Setup “ button in the Hsiuite proxy.
• Tick “Override IMEI”
• Make sure you tick in “Target build number”
• if your phone is a dual sim copy STK-L22DV-LGRP10 102.0.0.225(C636E2R1P1) and paste it into the “Target Package Build Number” section
• Must tick ” Force Auth Bridge “
• Open Hisuite again and connect your phone, check for updates in Hisuite 
• Start installation

Important: If installation fails at 99%, set the date of your computer to 01-September-2023, and run update again, it will succeed.
