Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite SM-P610 P615 Test Point
What is the test point?
When we short some points on the PCB of a mobile phone, we will get in to a programming mode, which is not accessible normally, this is usually called test point term. Qualcomm devices use Test point mode commonly referred to as EDL mode, which enables us to alter any partition of the phone. In Exynos devices it’s known as EUB Mode.
How to Use SM-P610 Test Point Mode:
For anyone who has ever looked at a totally dead hard-bricked Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (SM-P610), you know how panicked you will become. If the device is unresponsive and will not turn on, charge or boot into normal Download Mode or Recovery Mode using the hardware keys, then it’s not a standard software repair.
Test Point Mode comes to the rescue. You can load the tablet in a low-level boot ROM mode, or ‘equivalent mode’ of the Exynos 9611 processor, by shorting the pins on the motherboard. The equivalent mode is the low level Boot ROM mode and can be achieved by shorting the pins on the motherboard. This enables specialized flashing tools to directly communicate with the memory chip.
