Xiaomi Mi 9 TWRP and Root is now available on the Ministry of Solutions. Mi 9 is another flagship killer device with a Tri-Camera setup. The phone is running a Snapdragon 855 chip. The water drop notch with a super AMOLED display makes this phone more appealing. Rooting has been always easier with Xiaomi if we have proper files. The good thing about Xiaomi is warranty remains intact even after rooting.

This tutorial is strictly for Model M1902F1G code name (Cepheus). Only tested on MIUI 10.2.28.0 and older versions.

Xiaomi Mi 9 Root Instructions:

• Backup all important data from the phone
• Unlock the bootloader of your phone (Click Here for Guide)
• Connect phone with PC
• Tap 7 times on the Build number/MIUI version to enable developer options
• Go to additional setting > Developer options> and enable USB debugging
• Download root files from THIS LINK
• Extract downloaded files (password is: ministryofsolutions.com)
• Open MAF32.exe and type adb devices, it will show your device in the CMD screen, check your phone screen and allow ADB access
• Then type adb reboot-bootloader and press enter
• The phone should enter fastboot mode
• Now type ” fastboot flash recovery twrp-3.3.1-35-cepheus.img ” and press enter
• Once recovery flashed successfully , disconnect phone from computer.
• Then hold volume+ and power button, keep holding both buttons until “mi” logo appear. Once logo appear remove finger from power button, but keep holding volume up button. Phone should enter TWRP mode.
• Swipe to allow modifications
• Connect phone with pc
• Tap on the Advanced button and then tap on the ADB sideload  button
• Swipe to allow ADB sideload. Adb port should appear in the device manager
• Now type the following command in the CMD window ” adb sideload Magisk-v19.3.zip ” and press enter. Now flashing should start.
• Once flashing is complete, reboot the phone and check that Magisk Manager is present.
• Install the root checker app and verify root access.
• Profit
