Huawei P30 Lite users in Europe must be delighted to hear that EMUI12 has been rolled out for MAR-LX1. This update is based on Android 10 as Huawei is not getting new Android patches after the ban by the USA. Huawei is handling the security patches with its EMUI 12 which is similar to the HarmonyOS. If the cust version of your phone is C432 then you are eligible to install this update. But you must read the instructions carefully as there are different variants of C432.

Very Important (Identify model number)

Before you proceed with the upgrade process, it’s very important to identify the correct model number of your phone. To check the correct model number, you need to dial *#*#2846579#*#* a menu will pop up. Tap on “veneer information” then tap on “version information”. On that screen look for “Verison Component Version: MAR-L21XX” (X can be any letter) and note it down somewhere.

Huawei P30 Lite update requirements:

• Disable antivirus/Windows Defender (Very Important)
• The phone must be running the latest EMUI 10
• Your phone must have cust version C432 (check build number)
• The battery must be charged up to 60%
• Good quality USB cable
• Windows 10 / 11 computer
• Hisuite 11.0.0.610 OVE or newer must be installed Download From This LINK
• Download Hisuite Proxy V3.1.3 from THIS LINK
• Connect phone in Hisuite

The process to update:

• Extract the Hisuite Proxy V3.X.X
• Run Hisuite proxy, and make sure you allow firewall access when it asks
• Tap on the ” Setup “ button in the Hsiuite proxy.
• Make sure you tick in “Target build number”
• If your phone has component version MAR-L21A then copy MAR-L21A-LGRP2 102.0.0.225(C432E3R2P2)
• If your phone has component version MAR-L21B then copy MAR-L21B-LGRP2 102.0.0.225(C432E3R4P2)
• If your phone has component version MAR-L21MEA  and (C432E3R2P1) then copy MAR-L21MEA-LGRP2 102.0.0.225(C432E3R2P1)
• If your phone has component version MAR-L21MEA  but (C432E3R3P1) then copy MAR-L21MEA-LGRP2 102.0.0.225(C432E3R3P1)
• Paste it in the “Target Package Build Number” section
• Must tick ” Force Auth Bridge “ (if update fails then remove this tick and try again)
• Must tick ” Override IMEI “
• Open Hisuite again and connect your phone, check for updates in Hisuite 
• Start installation

Important: If installation fails at 99%, set the date of your computer to 01-September-2023, and run the update again, it will succeed.
