Huawei P Smart series was started in 2018. POT-LX1AF is a model of the P Smart 2019 series. The phone is powered by Kirin 710 chipset. P Smart 2019 was released with EMUI 9.1 in 2018 and later updated to EMUI 10. Now Huawei has sent another major update which is called EMUI 12. This update will add improvements and new features by Huawei but does not upgrade the Android version. We are sharing the EMUI 12 update installation guide for Middle East and African models with C185 Cust only.

POT-LX1AF update requirements:

• Disable antivirus/Windows Defender (Very Important)
• The phone must be running the latest EMUI 10
• Make sure the phone is dual sim
• Your model cust must be POT-L21AF (you can check under the project menu by dialing *#*#2846579#*#*, and software version)
• Your phone must have cust version C185 (check build number)
• The battery must be charged up to 60%
• Good quality USB cable
• Windows 10 / 11 computer
• Hisuite 11.0.0.610 OVE must be installed Download From This LINK
• Download Hisuite Proxy V3.3.X from THIS LINK
• Connect phone in Hisuite

Installation Process:

• Extract the Hisuite Proxy V3.X.X
• Run Hisuite proxy, and make sure you allow firewall access when it asks
• Tap on the ” Setup “ button in the Hsiuite proxy.
• Tick “Override IMEI”
• Make sure you tick in “Target build number”
• if your phone has R4 in the build number then copy POT-L21AF-LGRP2-OVS 102.0.0.224(C185E2R4P2) and paste it into the “Target Package Build Number” section
• if your phone has R1 in the build number then copy POT-L21AF–LGRP2-OVS 102.0.0.224(C185E2R1P1) and paste it into the “Target Package Build Number” section
• Must tick ” Force Auth Bridge “
• Open Hisuite again and connect your phone, check for updates in Hisuite 
• Start installation

Important: If installation fails at 99%, set the date of your computer to 01-September-2023, and run the update again, it will succeed.
