Huawei GR5 KII-L23 got new marshmallow update which will upgrade to EMUI 4.0.2 . All users with C469 cust can use this file to upgrade their phones. following is official changelog.
Update Features
EMUI 4.0.2 (based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow) is available for your device. This update upgrades the system to KII-L23C469B340CUSTC469D003. Key features in EMUI 4.0.2 are listed as follows.
Eye protection
- Filter out blue light, automatically adjust the backlight according to the environmental brightness, giving comfort light while reading at night to protect your eyes.
- Automatically adjust color temperature.
Notepad sharing
- The user can share the information edited in the Notepad to other users by plain text or mail or picture.
Turn unwanted call to the Background
- You can switch unwanted call to the Background
Improved Gallery features
- Multiple new label styles are added. You can add a memo or latitude information to a photo.
- You can add photos directly after you create an album.
- In addition, you can print multiple photos at the same time by merging these photos into a single PDF document.
Compass
- The compass can help you find your bearings wherever you are.
- When placed flat, your phone displays the compass, which shows the position and direction. When placed vertically, your phone shows the real scene, and you can look at the scenery or road conditions.
More alarm ringtone duration options
- Now there are more alarm ring duration options for you to choose from.
Smart contacts
- Contacts saved with the same company name are grouped.
Messaging — Cancel after sending
- If you mistakenly send a message or change your mind after sending it, you can now cancel it as long as it’s within 4 seconds of being sent
Soft lock
- The Soft lock button is added to the Floating dock for quick screen locking. To enable this feature, go to Settings > Smart assistance > Floating Dock.
Applications
- Booking, Deezer applications are newly added
Some of the known issues
- Some apps, such as the native browser, magnifier, WPS Office, Facetune, Mirror, Screen Lock, Play Movies and play books have been deleted.
- Browser Bookmarks are not imported to Chrome after Upgrade.
- Widgets and Voice mail numbers added, wont be retained after upgrade.

Installation Guide
- Backup all important data
- Battery should be charged 60%
- You must be running Marshmallow B330
- Make dload folder on sd card
- Copy downloaded update.zip file to dload folder. (Warning: Don’t extract)
- Dial *#*#2846579#*#* and select software upgrade >SDcard Upgrade and update should start.
- Or 2nd method is switch off your phone then press and hold (volume up, volume down, and power) until you see update start screen

Do you know how to updagre form KII-L23C469B331 with EMUI 4.0 I try with this Rom but fail.
Use good quality sd card with at least 6gb free space. Don’t update from internal storage.
Use forced update method
Yes my SD card is class 10. And I tried with the forced update method the only difference is the build is B331 not B330
Dial * #* #2846579#*#* and then tap on software upgrade select sd card and choose update.app
The problem is the when enter to the update mode this restart and not aply the update

I also have the B331 version but when I tap on software upgrade and sd card it says: warning…no upgrade file. So I can’t pass this step.
I created the dload folder on sd card and copy the zip file, I’m doing something wrong?. Help please 🙁

Yes, I did it but the installation stopped at 5% and then reboots.
I was thinking to unzip the file, creating the dload folder and copying the extracted files because I think this hasn’t found the update.app file…it will work?.

Hi guys, I have the same problem trying to install this update. I bought this unit in Colombia, but a tried so many distributions and still not working. I starting to think that there is something wrong with the phone. I´ll apreciatte any help.
Muchachos. Tengo el mismo problema al intentar instalar esta actualización. Compré el teléfono en Colombia, y he probado muchas distribuciones y todavía no funciona ninguna, algunas llegan al 14% otras hasta el 20, pero siempre aborta la actualización. Comienzo a pensar que hay algo mal con el teléfono. Gracias si me pueden ayudar.
