Finally wait is over ! Honor 9 STF-L09 Oreo update has been released for European region. Those users who didn’t received this upgrade through OTA can install it by following the guide given below. Phones with cust version C432 are only supported. Don’t try it on any other variant.

Installation Guide:

• You must have micro sd card with 5GB free space
• Backup all important data from phone
• Enable OEM unlock in developer options
• Unlock bootloader of your phone ( How to unlock? )
• Download hwota7_update.zip from THIS LINK
• Download Recovery file from THIS LINK
• Rename (update_full_STF-L09_hw_eu.zip to update_all_hw.zip )
• Rename ( update_data_full_public.zip to update_data_public.zip )
• Now make HWOTA7 folder on your sd card.
• Copy  3 firmware files, hwota7_update.zip  and STF_RECOVERY_NoCheck.img  inside HWOTA7 folder
• Download TWRP recovery from THIS LINK
• Connect phone in fastboot mode
• Extract TWRP zip file and run MAF32.exe then type ” fastboot flash recovery STF_twrp_Honor9.img ” and press enter.
• Once TWRP flashed successfully , disconnect your phone from computer, and hold volume up and power to enter TWRP mode, keep holding untill TWRP screen appears.
• Swipe to allow modifications
• Tap on install and then tap select storage, choose sd card
• You will see ” hwota7_update.zip ” select it and swipe to install.
• Phone should reboot and start installation.
• After successful upgrade enter recovery and wipe data/factory reset.
• Done.
