Huawei Y6s is a low-range device with excellent specs. The phone is equipped with a 6.09” Dewdrop Display, and MTK MT6765 CPU. So it’s not a bad deal for a few dollars. The phone was released with EMUI9.1 and will not get any major upgrade since it’s a low-range device. But Huawei has been so active in releasing new security patches for this phone. In this post, we will share stock firmware for the JAT-L29 variant which can be installed on Middle Eastern and African models with cust C185. This firmware contains a security patch from August 2020.

Installation Guide

• Backup all important data from the phone
• Charge the battery up to 50%
• Get a micro-sd card with 8GB of free space
• Extract the downloaded firmware zip file (password=JAT ministryofsolutions.com)
• Then copy the dload folder to the sd card
• Insert the sd card in the phone if it’s not inserted already
• Then power off the phone and Hold the volume up, volume down, and power, and keep holding until the update starts.
