Huawei ShotX also known as Honor 7i does not support OTG connection by default. However, there is a method to enable OTG after rooting your device. In our previous post you had learned how to root this phone, you can see that post here. Once you have successfully rooted your phone, all you need to do is add the following line in ” handheld_core_hardware.xml”. You can find XML files in the System(Root)>system>etc>permissions directory

<feature name=”android.hardware.usb.host”/>

This line you need to add at the end of that xml file just before </permissions> tag. Then reboot your phone and enjoy the OTG feature on your Huawei ShotX.
