Huawei P30 Lite EMUI 12 Firmware update is rolling out for the Middle East and Africa region. Devices with the C185 cust version are eligible to install this update. When we call it to update for the Middle East does not mean the user needs to be present in the Middle East in order to install this update. It’s all basically the firmware version that is installed on your phone. If you have not yet received the update from Huawei please follow this guide to install the EMUI12 update.

Very Important (Identify model number)

Before you proceed with the upgrade process, it’s very important to identify the correct model number of your phone. To check the correct model number, you need to dial *#*#2846579#*#* a menu will pop up. Tap on “veneer information” then tap on “version information”. On that screen look for “Verison Component Version: MAR-L21XX” (X can be any letter) and note it down somewhere.

Huawei P30 Lite Update Requirements:

• Disable antivirus/Windows Defender (Very Important)
• The phone must be running the latest EMUI 10
• Your phone must have cust version C185 (check build number)
• The battery must be charged up to 60%
• Good quality USB cable
• Windows 10 / 11 computer
• Hisuite 11.0.0.610 OVE or newer must be installed Download From This LINK
• Download Hisuite Proxy V3.1.3 from THIS LINK
• Connect phone in Hisuite

The process to update:

• Extract the Hisuite Proxy V3.X.X
• Run Hisuite proxy, and make sure you allow firewall access when it asks
• Tap on the ” Setup “ button in the Hsiuite proxy.
• Make sure you tick in “Target build number”
• If your phone has component version MAR-L01MEB then copy MAR-L01MEB-LGRP2 102.0.0.225(C185E3R1P1)
• If your phone has component version MAR-L21MEB then copy MAR-L21MEB-LGRP2 102.0.0.225(C185E3R1P1)
• If your phone has component version MAR-L21A then copy MAR-L21A-LGRP2 102.0.0.225(C185E2R3P1)
• Paste it in the “Target Package Build Number” section
• Must tick ” Force Auth Bridge “
• Must tick ” Override IMEI “
• Open Hisuite again and connect your phone, check for updates in Hisuite 
• Start installation

Important: If installation fails at 99%, set the date of your computer to 01-September-2023, and run the update again, it will succeed.
