Huawei Nova 4 VCE-L22 is now getting the EMUI 12 upgrade officially. This phone is equipped with Kirin 970 chipset and is actually a cheaper version of the P20 Pro. Users will be getting this update in batches, but if you can not wait for the update through OTA, follow this guide to install EMUI 12. The method is 100% safe if done with proper focus. Your data will not be deleted. This firmware is only compatible with devices with Cust C185, you can check the cust in build number on about phone screen.

Huawei Nova 4 update requirements:

• Disable antivirus/Windows Defender (Very Important)
• The phone must be running the latest EMUI 10
• Your phone must have cust version C185 (check build number)
• The battery must be charged up to 60%
• Good quality USB cable
• Windows 10 / 11 computer
• Hisuite 11.0.0.610 OVE must be installed Download From This LINK
• Download Hisuite Proxy V3.1.3 from THIS LINK
• Connect phone in Hisuite

The process to update:

• Extract the Hisuite Proxy V3.X.X
• Run Hisuite proxy, make sure you allow firewall access when it asks
• Tap on the ” Setup “ button in the Hsiuite proxy.
• Make sure you tick in “Target build number”
• Then copy VCE-L22-LGRP2 102.0.0.223(C185E2R1P1)
• paste it in the “Target Package Build Number” section
• Must tick ” Force Auth Bridge “
• Must tick ” Override IMEI “
• Open Hisuite again and connect your phone, check for updates in Hisuite 
• Start installation

Important: If installation fails at 99%, set the date of your computer to 01-September-2023, and run the update again, it will succeed.
