Huawei Mate 20 is an amazing phone equipped with a kirin 980 chipset. Huawei has started EMUI 12 firmware update rollout. Users are expected to receive this update in batches. But if for some reason you are not getting this update or don’t to wait for the update to reach automatically then you can follow the guide given below. This guide is strictly for devices having cust version C185. if your cust version is different please don’t try it.

Huawei Mate 20 update requirements:

• Disable antivirus/Windows Defender (Very Important)
• The phone must be running the latest EMUI 11
• Your phone must have cust version C185 (check build number)
• The battery must be charged up to 60%
• Good quality USB cable
• Windows 10 / 11 computer
• Hisuite 11.0.0.610 OVE or newer must be installed Download From This LINK
• Download Hisuite Proxy V3.1.3 from THIS LINK
• Connect phone in Hisuite

The process to update:

• Extract the Hisuite Proxy V3.X.X
• Run Hisuite proxy, make sure you allow firewall access when it asks
• Tap on the ” Setup “ button in the Hsiuite proxy.
• Make sure you tick in “Target build number”
• If your phone has (C185E3R2P1) then copy HMA-L29-LGRP2 102.0.0.142(C185E3R2P1)
• If your phone has (C185E3R1P1) then copy HMA-L29-LGRP2 102.0.0.142(C185E3R1P1)
• Paste it in the “Target Package Build Number” section
• Must tick ” Force Auth Bridge “
• Must tick ” Override IMEI “
• Open Hisuite again and connect your phone, check for updates in Hisuite 
• Start installation

Important: If installation fails at 99%, set the date of your computer to 01-September-2023, and run the update again, it will succeed.
