We all know that modifying the Honor phones can be risky and often result in a soft brick. Unfortunately, Huawei does not provide any tool to restore stock firmware. If we install stock firmware by SD card that will also lock the bootloader. And bootloader unlock is not free. In this tutorial, we will guide you on how to honor 8x can be unbricked without locking the bootloader. This guide is only applicable to devices running EMUI9.1 because bootloader unlock is only possible on EMUI9.1. This tutorial may work for all variants of Honor 8X.

How it works:

• Only works with bootloader-unlocked devices
• Only work with MEUI9.1 based devices
• Only works on Windows computer
• Just enter TWRP mode and connect the phone to the PC
• Run Flash.bat and follow the on-screen instructions
• You must use Full OTA firmware files
• Must rename cust file to update_cust.zip
• If Preload file is not available for your phone just make a copy of the CUST file and rename it as update_preload.zip
