Huawei Y8p AQM-LX1 Middle Eastern variant is now getting an EMUI 12 update for phones with Cust version C185. Users can experience the New UI released by Huawei. Even though this phone is an entry-level device still Huawei is providing a significant upgrade for it. C185 cust is mostly used in Middle Eastern and African countries, if your phone has a different cust version then don’t try it even if you are living in the Middle East. This update does not bring a newer version of Android only new security patches by Huawei will be installed along with this update.

Update changelog

Huawei Y8p update requirements:

• Disable antivirus/Windows Defender (Very Important)
• The phone must be running the latest EMUI 10
• Your phone must have cust version C185 (check build number)
• The battery must be charged up to 60%
• Good quality USB cable
• Windows 10 / 11 computer
• Hisuite 11.0.0.610 OVE or newer must be installed Download From This LINK
• Download Hisuite Proxy V3.X.X from THIS LINK
• Connect phone in Hisuite

The process to update:

• Extract the Hisuite Proxy V3.X.X
• Run Hisuite proxy, and make sure you allow firewall access when it asks
• Tap on the ” Setup “ button in the Hsiuite proxy.
• Make sure you tick in “Target build number”
• If your phone has (C185E3R8P1) then copy AQM-L21A-LGRP2-OVS 102.0.0.226(C185E3R8P1)
• If your phone has (C185E3R7P1) then copy AQM-L21A-LGRP2-OVS 102.0.0.226(C185E3R7P1)
• If your phone has (C185E3R4P1) then copy AQM-L21A-LGRP2-OVS 102.0.0.226(C185E3R4P1)
• Paste it in the “Target Package Build Number” section
• Must tick ” Force Auth Bridge “
• Must tick ” Override IMEI “
• Open Hisuite again and connect your phone, check for updates in Hisuite 
• Start installation

Important: If installation fails at 99%, set the date of your computer to 01-September-2023, and run the update again, it will succeed.
