Another GSI ROM has been tested on Honor 8X. Havoc OS 3.12 is based on Android 10. Unfortunately, file transfer mode does not work in Android 11 GSI ROM that’s why we are not sharing a guide for Android 11 GSI. This ROM is compatible with all variants of Honor 8X (JSN-L21/L22/L23/AL00). This ROM can be installed only after unlocking the bootloader of your phone. If your phone has been upgraded to a newer version of EMUI then you must downgrade to EMUI9.0. Only then GSI ROM can be flashed.

ROM Installation Guide:

• Back up all important data from your phone, you cannot restore data using hisuite, so use a different method.
• Downgrade phone to EMUI9.0 if the phone is running EMUI9.1 or EMUI10, because ROM cannot be installed on EMUI9.1
• Unlock the bootloader of your phone (Details Here)
• Download ROM from THIS LINK (Click Here)
• Make sure you download ” Havoc-OS-v3.12-20201230-Official-GApps-arm64-ab.img ” (If you don’t want google apps you can download a version without Gapps)
• Extract the file using WinRAR and you will get an IMG file of the ROM
• Power off the phone and disconnect from pc, then hold the volume down and insert the cable
• The phone will enter fastboot mode
• Download installation tools from this link
• Extract the tools and copy the ROM image file to the same folder
• Then enter this command “fastboot flash system Havoc-OS-v3.12-20201230-Official-GApps-arm64-ab.img” (without commas)
• The flashing process will take a few minutes
• Once flashing is completed, disconnect the phone from pc and then hold the volume up and power, keep holding until appears the recovery screen.
• Then wipe data/factory reset, then reboot the phone.
• It’s done, your phone is ready for use.
