Huawei Mate 20 X is getting an EMUI 12 update. This update will be sent out in batches. At this moment this update is being rolled out for the C432 European model EVR-L29. Not to confuse with the 5G variant of the phone. This is strictly for EVL-L29 with cust C432. This is an official firmware update by Huawei, but if your phone did not receive it yet you could install this update by following the guide given below. This update will not wipe data on your phone, but backup is recommended as a safe side.

Huawei Mate 20 X requirements:

• Disable antivirus/windows defender (Very Important)
• The phone must be running the latest EMUI 11
• Your phone must have cust version C432 (check build number)
• The battery must be charged up to 60%
• Good quality USB cable
• Windows 10 / 11 computer
• Hisuite 11.0.0.610 OVE must be installed Download From This LINK
• Download Hisuite Proxy V3.1.3 from THIS LINK
• Connect phone in Hisuite

The process to update:

• Extract the Hisuite Proxy V3.X.X
• Run Hisuite proxy, and make sure you allow firewall access when it asks
• Tap on the ” Setup “ button in the Hsiuite proxy.
• Make sure you tick in “Target build number”
• Then copy EVR-L29-LGRP2 102.0.0.132(C432E4R1P2)
• paste it in the “Target Package Build Number” section
• Must tick ” Force Auth Bridge “
• Must tick ” Override IMEI “
• Open Hisuite again and connect your phone, check for updates in Hisuite 
• Start installation

Important: If installation fails at 99%, set the date of your computer to 01-September-2023, and run the update again, it will succeed.
