The Huawei Mate 10 was released in 2017; it is not an old phone, but it is arguably the actual godfather of the current AI smartphone. The Mate 10 was the first device to introduce a sub-unit of dedicated hardware that transformed the mobile world before the term AI was used as a marketing buzzword that can be applied to anything: the Kirin 970 NPU (Neural Processing Unit). This was the marquee feature of the Mate 10 parlor. Take a picture of a cat and the phone immediately recognized that this was a Cat and adjusted the settings such as exposure, contrast and color saturation in a few milliseconds. It was a real, useful application of on-device AI and it was like magic, with the ability to recognize 13 different scenes, including food, fireworks, etc. This is in contrast to the current multi-modal AI systems, and the Mate 10 was the very step that led to a world where your phone recognizes what it sees.

Huawei Mate 10 update requirements:

• Disable antivirus/Windows Defender (Very Important)
• The phone must be running the latest EMUI 10
• Your phone must have cust version C432 (check build number)
• The battery must be charged up to 60%
• Good quality USB cable
• Windows 10 / 11 computer
• Hisuite 11.0.0.610 OVE must be installed Download From This LINK
• Download Hisuite Proxy V3.X.X from THIS LINK
• Connect phone in Hisuite

Process to update:

• Extract the Hisuite Proxy V3.X.X
• Run Hisuite proxy, and make sure you allow firewall access when it asks
• Tap on the ” Setup “ button in the Hsiuite proxy.
• Make sure you tick in “Target build number”
• if your phone is a single sim copy ALP-L09-LGRP2-OVS 102.0.0.223(C432E2R1P1)
• Paste it in the “Target Package Build Number” section
• Open Hisuite again and connect your phone, check for updates in Hisuite 
• Start installation

Important: If installation fails at 99%, set the date of your computer to 01-September-2023, and run the update again, it will succeed.
