Huawei G8 RIO-L03 Marshmallow 6.0.1 EMUI 4.0.3 (Digicel)

Huawei G8 RIO-L03 Marshmallow 6.0.1 firmware is now available for digicel variant. devices with cust version C469 can be upgraded by using this update. This upgrade comes with EMUI 4.0.3 running on top.

What’s New:

EMUI 4.0.3 (based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow) is available for your device. This update upgrades the system to RIO-L03C469B351CUSTC469D001. This update adds new features to apps, including Email, Calendar, and Notepad, and optimises the Themes icon.

  • Adds a feature to prioritise emails.
  • Adds more years to the perpetual calendar.
  • Adds a feature to add and share contacts using QR code.
  • Adds a feature to share notes as text, image, or email in Notepad.

Optimizations

  • Optimises email login by configuring parameters automatically.
  • Optimises the Themes icon to be more consistent with the system.

Note

  •  You can update your phone by downloading the update package to your phone.
  • Download over a Wi-Fi network is recommended. Data charges may apply if you use a mobile network.
  • Make sure your phone battery has enough power (> 50%).
  • You can still use your phone during the download. When the update starts, however, your phone will be temporarily unavailable for ROM flashing. This update may take a few minutes.
  • You can roll back the system to an earlier version. For details, see the rollback guide that comes with the update package. Before rollback, back up your data, because the rollback will erase all your personal data.

Installation Method

  • Backup all important data
  • You should have 4 gb free space
  • Charge battery up to 50%
  • Your phone should not be rooted.
  • Make dload folder on sd card/Internal storage
  • Extract update.zip and copy update.app to dload folder,
  • Go to settings>updater>menu>local update, then select update.app to install update.
  • Or another method is switch off your phone and hold 3 buttons (volume up, volume down, and power) until you see update start screen.
  • Done
