Huawei P9 Lite Root for Nougat (New Method)
In this post i will share new root method for Huawei P9 Lite, It is easiest roooting / unrooting method for Huawei P9 lite. This method is purely based on magisk systemless rooting interface.This method has been tested on latest build numbers only, for old build number of nougat you should try at your own risk.
Disclaimer:
- This method is tested on VNS-L31 running B410 version of firmware
- Technically it should work for VNS-L21,L22,L23, But try at your own risk
- It only works on latest Nougat builds.

Rooting Proccess:
- Without sd card rooting is not possible, so get sd card 1st
- Make backup of all your important data before proceeding.
- Your phone should be running official stock firmware (custom roms not work)
- Bootloader of your phone should be unlocked (How to unlock bootloader?)
- Download all required files from THIS LINK
- Install Magisk Manager apk on phone, and install it
- Copy Magisk-V16.0.zip on sd card
- Connect phone in fastboot mode (power off, then hold volume down and insert cable)
- Extract downloaded zip file, open MAF32.exe, and type ” fastboot flash recovery2 VNS_twrp.img “
- Once TWRP flashed, hold volume up and power, keep holding volume up even after reboot, when you see Revolution recovery screen stop pressing buttons.
- You are advised to make backup of all partitions, before proceeding (it will help you to restore device incase something goes wrong) watch video posted below for more details.
- Disconnect phone from computer
- Tap on install and select Magisk-V16.0.zip that you have copied to sd card.
- Once installed, reboot phone
- Install root checker from playstore and verify root access.

Hello once again.
This method worked for me at my second attempt. My VNS L31C33B370 is now rooted.
Now I want to make him work as a dual SIM. I have another P9 Lite With VNS L31C432B418 working as a dual SIM.
Now I need to put this one also as a dual sim, can you please help me?
Can I use the patch file C342OEM that you have in your other link and use it? But then you have also DUAL SIM firmware B160 from VNS-L31 Firmware Link that is not working the download…
Now I have android nougat and don´t now if those files from you wil work or if now there is a different method or new files…
