LG G5 H850 Nougat Root (With Photos)
In this this tutorial you will learn how to root LG G5 H850, which is running latest nougat build V20k-EUR-XX. This method also works on older build numbers of nougat.
Instructions
Bootloader of you device should be unlocked, if you see following warning at startup then your bootloader has been unlocked.
- Enable USB debugging, and download Minimal ADB interface from THIS LINK and install it.
- Open minimal ADB interface and type
adb reboot-bootloader
- The phone should reboot to fastboot mode as shown in the image below
- `Now download latest TWRP from THIS LINK
- Copy downloaded TWRP img to minimal ADB and fastboot installation directory
- Then type the command in ADB interface
Fastboot flash recovery twrp-3.1.X-X-h850.img
- Once flashed successfully, disconnect from PC
- Take out the battery, insert the battery back then hold the volume down and power, when you see the logo keep holding the volume down leave the power button just for 1 sec, then hold the power button again.
- Select yes, yes on the next screen and you will enter TWRP mode. if it asks for the password, enter the wrong password 3/4 times and it will allow you to enter the main menu.
- If you fail to enter TWRP mode at 1st attempt then you must start from step 1
- On the TWRP screen swipe blue bar to enter the main menu
- Tap on Wipe and then format data, don’t reboot, go back
- Connect the device with pc and download latest DM-Verity Off zip from THIS LINK
- Download SuperSU from THIS LINK
- Copy both files to sd card, disconnect from PC
- In TWRP tap on install and flash DM-Verity-Off zip file, on completion screen look like as shown below
- Then reboot the phone, if TWRP asks you to install something just tap do not install.
- Then again switch off, and enter TWRP recovery, as you did before.
- Then tap on install and select SuperSU zip that you have copied in sd card stoarge.
Once flashed successfully, reboot phone, and check if you can see SuperSU in apps.
Now download the root checker app to verify root access.
