lots of users requested for Huawei Y6 II compact (Honor 5A) root method, did some research and found universal TWRP & root method for all variants of Y6 II.

This Method is tested & working on LYO-L21, LYO-L01

For LYO-L02 not tested (but hardware is same it should work) If anyone want to try it my full support will be available.

Rooting Guide

• This method is strictly for MTK 6735P based phone
• Backup all important data
• Unlock phone bootloader (How to unlock bootloader ?)
• Make sure USB debugging enabled
• Download root files from THIS LINK
• Extract downloaded zip file, copy SuperSU file to sd card.
• Put phone is fastboot mode (switch off, hold volume down and connect with PC)
• Open MAF32.exe in extracted folder
• Type ” fastboot flash recovery twrp3.0.2.img ” and press enter
• if installation successful , disconnect phone from PC.
• Boot into TWRP mode (Volume up & power)
• Swipe on 1st screen to allow modification
• Tap on install , select the superSU file that you have copied to sd card. and swipe to install.
• Root is done, now reboot phone.
• If you want to flash stock recovery just type ” fastboot flash recovery stock.img ” and hit enter.
