This tutorial is only for the Huawei Y5 II LTE model CUN-L21 and L03. If your phone has a MediaTek MT6735P chip then you can follow this tutorial for root access. But if your phone has MediaTek MT6582 then follow the older tutorial here posted. This method has been tested on the LTE model and root access was achieved using Magisk systemless rooting method.

Rooting Tutorial

• Backup all important data from the phone
• Enable OEM unlock in developer options
• Unlock the bootloader of your phone (Buy bootloader code)
• Download root files from THIS LINK (password: ministryofsolutions.com)
• Extract downloaded files
• Copy Magisk zip file to your SD card
• Connect the phone in fastboot mode and open MAF32.exe file
• Type ” fastboot flash recovery TWRP.img ” and press enter
• After successful flashing disconnect phone from computer
• Hold the volume up and power
• keep holding even after a reboot, the phone will enter TWRP mode. (warning: don’t wipe anything in TWRP)
• Swipe to allow modifications
• Then tap on Install and then tap on Select Storage and choose Micro SD card
• Find the Magisk zip you copied earlier and tap on it, then swipe to flash
• After that press reboots the system, if ask to install anything press do not install.
• Copy the Magisk Manager APK file to phone storage and install it. (Do not update magisk manager)
• Profit, Your phone has been rooted
• Don’t update/factory reset the phone after it’s rooted.
