we are living in the age of possibilities, smartphones introduced plenty of things those were impossible in the past, if i am not wrong you may call it mini computer,
anyhow in this article i will show you how you can share you mobile internet with you laptop through cable & without cable,

How to use mobile data internet on computer with android phone

1. Connecting through cable,

go to your phones settings > Wireless and Network > Tethering and Portable Hosting

you will see the following screen , displaying several options

you can see the 1st option USB tethering, this option will turn on only when you have connected your phone to computer through USB cable, otherwise you cann’t select this option, if you are going to connect through cable then only tick this option and after that you windows computer should start installing the network driver for your phone & after few minutes you network will be automatically set up & ready to use.

Note: make sure you have installed you device driver in your computer

2. Connect through WiFi,

you can also use your phone as WiFi host ,and connect to the internet through your android smartphone, no extra software or app is needed,
as you can see in the image above, 2nd option is Mobile AP ( AP mean access point) by choosing this option your phone will start to broadcast WiFi signal & any device in the range may connect to your phone through WiFi,
and if you want to change your network name or want to put a password on it, select Mobile AP setting, as shown in the image below

by selecting configure mobile AP you can access the security settings of your WiFi access point , where you can edit your network name & WiFi password,

network ssid is your network , it should show up in your WiFi devices (LAPTOP etc) and security type you can chose as per your requirement and then there is option to set the password, after that just hit save button and your setting should be updated instantly .

Note: this method only works while you are using your mobile data, it doesn’t work while you are connected through wifi
