Honor Pad 2 JDN-L01/W09 rooting method is available on Ministry Of Solutions. Users need to unlock the bootloader only then rooting this tablet will be possible. Unlocking the bootloader voids the warranty of your device. This method is only applicable to tablets running Android 6 Marshmallow. This should work on all variants of JDN.

Rooting Tutorial

• Backup all important data from tablet
• Enable oem unlock in developer options
• Unlock bootloader of your tablet (Buy bootloader code)
• Download root files from THIS LINK (password=ministryofsolutions.com)
• Extract downloaded files
• Copy SuperSU zip file to your sd card (Magisk is not tested, you can try at your own risk)
• Connect tablet in fastboot mode and open MAF32.exe file
• Type ” fastboot flash recovery TWRP.img ” and press enter
• After successful flashing disconnect tablet from computer
• Hold volume up and power
• keep holding even after reboot, tablet will enter TWRP mode. (warning: don’t wipe anything in TWRP)
• Swipe to allow modifications
• Then tap on install and then tap on select storage and choose micro sd card
• Find SuperSU zip you copied earlier and tap on it , then swipe to flash
• After that press reboot system, if ask to install anything press do not install.
• If you have used magisk zip then you must install magisk manager apk
• Profit, Your tablet has been rooted
• Don’t update/factory reset tablet after root
