Honor 9 is officially getting a HarmonyOS 2.0 update. HarmonyOS is Huawei’s home-built operating system for smart devices. This firmware is currently only available for Chinese models. If we see Honor 9 is a very old phone equipped with Kirin 960 and it was updated till EMUI9.1. Users were not expecting anything new updates for this old phone. But Huawei has decided to update the Honor 9 to the new HarmonyOS. This update is only available for STF-AL00 and STF-AL10 models. Don’t try on your international model. Installation Guide:

• Backup all important data from the phone
• Charge the battery up to 50%
• Get a USB OTG with 16GB of free space or an SD card
• Extract the downloaded firmware zip file (password=STF_HARMONY_BY https://ministryofsolutions.com)
• Then copy the dload folder to the USB OTG
• Connect OTG to the phone/insert an SD card in the phone
• Power off the phone, hold all buttons, and keep holding until the update installation screen appears.
