New Method 2018
- Backup all important data
- Unlock bootloader of your phone (How to unlock?)
- Download root files from THIS LINK
- Extract downloaded file on your computer
- Copy magisk17.1.zip to your sd card
- Power off phone, Hold volume down and insert cable. phone should enter fastboot mode.
- Open MAF32 and type ” fastboot flash recovery TWRP_TRT.img ” and press enter
- Once installation completed. Disconnect from pc. and hold volume up and power, keep holding until you see TWRP screen.
- Swipe to allow modifications
- Backup system and boot partitions (optional)
- Then tap on install > select storage > choose sd card>
- Then tap on magisk17.1.zip and swipe to flash, if any error appear reboot phone to TWRP and flash magisk again. it should be successful then,
- Root completed
Old Method 2017
Supported Devices:
TRT-AL00, TRT-AL00A, TRT-TL10, TRT-TL10A, TRT-L21A
Note: on some devices touch screen does not work in TWRP mode, you are advised to use mouse with OTG connector to work in TWRP
Rooting Tutorial (Old):
- Backup all important data
- Unlock bootloader of your phone (How to unlock?)
- Download root files from THIS LINK
- Extract downloaded file on your computer
- Power off phone, Hold volume down and insert cable. phone should enter fastboot mode.
- Open MAF32 and type ” fastboot flash recovery TRT-TWRP-3.1.1-0818.img ” and press enter
- Once installation completed. Disconnect from pc. and hold volume up and power, keep holding until you see TWRP screen.
- Recovery will be in chinese, Tap on right side button, and choose 2nd option, recovery will be changed to English.
- Now swipe to allow modifications. (Advised to make backup in TWRP for safe side)
- Then tap on advanced. and tap root button.
- Swipe to install root.
- Reboot phone to normal mode.
- After several boots , your phone should be up and running.
- Now go in settings > Application manager > super su > permissions and allow all permissions.
- Done, now install any root checker to verify root access.

How about model huawei prime y7 TRT-L21A? That method. Work especially the twrp??

I installed TWRP but after opening it. I saw one checkbox, two buttons left and right with Chinese label and a swipe at the buttom. But the worst thing is I can’t do anything seems screen is freezing.
Use otg cable, connect usb mouse, and see if it works. Seems touch not working in twrp
hmm I’m not sure if mouse using OTG cable will work for non rooted device but I will try that, BTW am I at the right screen?

It does not work for me. After following all the steps easily when I go to advanced I don’t have a root botton. I only have a button that says unroot. I already formatted everything and started again but it still didn’t work. Can you please help?

Tap on unroot, reboot to twrp and root again
Still the same problem! Done 3 times not and only unroot appears. As you mentioned in the other thread I already wiped all the system partitions.

I have never asked to wipe all partitions, now you must install your stock firmware
