This tutorial is only for Huawei Y3 2017 CRO-L22 and other variants with Mediatek MT6737M chip. Bootloader unlock will be required to root your phone. After unlocking the bootloader warranty is void. In this tutorial, we will use TWRP recovery to install root access on this phone.

Rooting Tutorial

• Backup all important data from the phone
• Enable OEM unlock in developer options
• Unlock the bootloader of your phone (Buy bootloader code)
• Download root files from THIS LINK (password=ministryofsolutions.com)
• Extract downloaded files
• Copy SR1-SuperSU-v2.82-SR1-20170608224931.zip file to your sd card
• Connect phone in fastboot mode and open MAF32.exe file
• Type ” fastboot flash recovery recovery.img ” and press enter
• After successful flashing disconnect the phone from the computer
• Hold the volume up and power
• keep holding even after a reboot, the phone will enter TWRP mode. (warning: don’t wipe anything in TWRP)
• Swipe to allow modifications
• Then tap on Install and then tap on Select Storage and choose Micro SD card
• Find SR1-SuperSU-v2.82-SR1-20170608224931.zip you copied earlier and tap on it, then swipe to flash
• After that press Reboot to the system, if you are asked to install anything press do not install.
• Profit, Your phone has been rooted
• Don’t update/factory reset the phone after the root
