Installation Guide:

• You must be already running Nougat B360 or higher version
• Phone bootloader must be unlocked (How to unlock?)
• You need sd card with at least 6GB free stoarge.
• Download all 3 packages given above
• Make HWOTA folder on sd card and copy these 3 files to that folder
• Now download Honor 8 FRD update package from THIS LINK
• Extract the Honor 8 FRD update package.zip
• Make sure oem unlock enabled in developer options
• Switch off phone and hold volume down button then insert cable to start fastboot mode.
• Now open MAF32.exe and type command ” fastboot flash recovery TWRP” and press enter
• Then type ” fastboot reboot ” and press enter
• Phone should boot up, now enable USB debugging in developer options and type ” adb reboot recovery ” press enter
• Now phone will reboot to TWRP, swipe to enter twrp, connect phone with pc and make sure sd card is inside phone.
• Now type these commands one by one and press enter

adb shell “echo –update_package=/sdcard/HWOTA/update.zip > /cache/recovery/command”

adb shell “echo –update_package=/sdcard/HWOTA/update_data_full_public.zip >> /cache/recovery/command”

adb shell “echo –update_package=/sdcard/HWOTA/update_full_FRD-L09_hw_meafnaf.zip >> /cache/recovery/command”

• Once these commands completed, tap on reboot and select bootloader (if twrp ask to install anything, just press don’t install)
• Phone should reboot to fastboot mode, and type following commands one by one.

fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

fastboot flash recovery2 recovery2.img

• Finally disconnect from pc, and hold (volume- , volume+ and power) until update starts. have patience while installing update, phone should reboot automatically once update completed
