This is very common problem in old acer aspire laptop models, the often get broken from top near hinges screws are placed, as you can see in pic 1

so how i managed to repair it, 1st of all take out the LCD, and invertor , after that, if you have broken plastic with you
completely remove the top plastic and place it on table , then take the broken pieces & also place them on their location, then turn on the iron rod, and start to melt the cracked parts, while keep them joined with the body, when u see the platic is totally mixed up, let it cool down, and replace the same procedure of other side.

once the broken parts are joined, fit everything except hinges screws , those go into bezel, i assume your plastic screw holders are broken, fix all the cables and LCD invertor, and then tight the small screw bolts (golden color) until it holds the lcd firmly, once the small golden bolts are tighten , place the hinges inside body, and put everything in place,

now final thing, fill the adhesive in empty space behind the bezel screws, it will not only hold the screws firmly , but will also provide support for the top plastic ,
let it dry for almost 12 hours, adhesive takes time to dry out,
make sure you use good & strong adhesive,
